Become a Good Receiver of God’s Provision

I believe God wants me to become a receiver and responder to His abundant provision in my life.

My husband and I have been experiencing financial lack recently and for the first time in many years I have been worrying about how we are going to make ends meet. When doing our budget it became apparent that there was a substantial shortfall between our income and expenses and that we had already pulled our belts in as tight as we could go. When I discussed this with my husband he felt discouraged because he felt his pay was too low, but at the same time we both agree that God has assigned him to his current workplace at this time because he is moving in the hearts of some of his co-workers and God’s favour and grace remains upon him. Therefore this leaves us in a position of needing to trust God to meet the shortfall and meet every other need that arises. Could it be that the Lord is stretching our faith?

Meanwhile, after spending the last three years studying for a Bachelor of Theology fulltime, and now having completed my coursework, I seem to have hit the wall emotionally. I have been looking at job advertisements but nothing suits, and have been offered the potential opportunity in the future to work as a jobsearch trainer, but not sure if this is right. During this time I am dreaming about writing, speaking and teaching, enjoying sewing, cooking, gardening and wood working projects and being a blessing and encouragement to others.  What is God trying to teach me? Can I trust God and follow Him in the pursuits He has laid on my heart and trust Him to increase and prosper me financially through it?

An idea came to me this morning after the Lord convicted me on not tithing on some sales of household goods I have made recently. I immediately transfered the money to my church account and thanked God. Suddenly, the thought came to me that the Lord wanted to me to trust in Him as my provider as never before and he wants to deliver us from a scarcity mindset. After all, God has promised to meet all our needs according to His riches in glory. I believe that as we follow where God is leading us we will be led out of debt and into an abundant and delightful land. Thankyou Lord!

My greatest need was salvation and having provided that for me God will give me everything else I need beside.

Do I really trust Him fully? Or do I trust in the meager nest egg we have saved up, which has been slowly dwindling? Forgive me, Lord.

The Lord challenged me that I need to be a good receiver and that will also make me a better giver. God is pouring out His abundant provision upon us all each day but am I recognising and thanking Him for it at every opportunity. Gratitude produces joy and a sense of abundance.

One thing I need to recognise is that when God’s provision comes into my life, it is always in abundance of what I personally need. The overflow is so that I can be generous and share with others. What I have in abundance I can share with others who lack and vice versa. I do not need to hoard resources. I need to trust God and not stop the flow.

This does not mean that we should not have some savings or insurance against hard times, but simply means that I should be more open-handed and ready to share as God leads me, not fearing for my own future needs.

What do I have in my house that could be used to greatly bless others? What is currently flowing abundantly through my hands? Where am I stopping the flow?

God has promised that provision lays along the path as we walk in His will. Where God guides, He provides. He has put seed in my hands that I should be sowing. Do not be afraid to give in times when your circumstances say there isn’t enough. Walk by faith and not by sight.

Ask God for what you want and need. He will give you the desires of your heart when your ways please Him. He delights in your prosperity and success. It is okay for you to have abundance. But always hold it with an open hand.

Dear sisters,

Hope you are well today.

Today I would like talk about waiting. Specifically, waiting on God. Sometimes waiting can be excruciatingly painful. We are hoping for something so badly we become almost desperate in our waiting. We want it to happen so bad we could burst! We cry out to God for relief but our breakthrough tarries.

Let me encourage you today. Stand strong and hold your position in God. Know who you are, and Who’s you are. God is working everything out for your good and His glory. Remain faithful in doing everything you can do while trusting God to do all the things you can’t. Nothing is impossible for Him.

Faithfully walk the path He has set out for you today and continue to praise Him and affirm your explicit trust in His goodness and grace.

Wait in patient expectancy and hope.

Very soon your breakthrough will come.

Blessings

Sister B

The Difference Between Vision and Goals

body of work, content, faith, goals, vision

I often wonder why I am scared so much of the time. Worried about the quality of my writing, the validity of my thoughts, whether anyone will read or care about what I written. But I must never allow fear to immobilize me and stop me from bring forth into the world my contribution.

Our contribution matters. It adds it value to corporate thought and mindset. I must have courage to share what I am thinking with others, to engage and interact with them. I do not want to simply be a consumer of content, but a creator, someone who adds to the collective conversation.

My deep desire is create a body of work of valuable content for readers who are eager to learn. Teaching that encourages and inspires. Teaching that liberates and empowers. Teaching that sparks faith and motivates to action.

My content is my WEALTH. Treasure created. I want to daily add to my store of content. I want to show up and show out. People I have seen and read about often make no distinction between work and play. All is a joy to them. Life is an adventure to be lived as a participant not just a spectator. Let me enter in.

One thing I have discovered, GOALS ARE EARTHLY, VISION IS HEAVENLY. Vision is what God has revealed to us as available to us in His Kingdom. Territory marked out and set apart for us to possess and occupy. Once we have seen vision we are infused with grace and power to obtain what we have seen. Faith arises. Goals can be set in the earthly realm to manifest what we have seen.

When goals are in line with the heavenly vision there is a sense of alignment and authenticity in our life. A feeling of ‘rightness’. We have faith and we walk by faith. We are led along this path of righteousness by the Spirit. Providence begins to be seen as we walk forward. What others call co-incidence, we know is the Divine signposts of God that we are on the right track and pleasing in His sight.

Provision, help and opportunity lay before us along the path. Occasionally an enemy will also arise along the path. Those spectating along the sidelines of our vision become naysayers telling how impossible it is to attain our goals. Keep walking anyway. You know what you have seen.

A vision is something revealed by God and is to be established for eternity. Goals are made in the natural realm and bring forth this in this life those things which are temporal. Vision is forever. Goals are temporal.

There are many lessons we will learn as we walk with God on the path of life he has set before us. There is much to learn. One thing we can be sure of is that He will never leave us or forsake us. God is with us and gives us power and authority to ENTER IN  and POSSESS what He has shown us in the secret place. This is our birthright and our inheritance. He has given us the keys to obtain.

Go possess what is yours! To His glory.

Question: What have you seen is yours with your eyes of faith? What goals do you need to set in order to make this a reality?

Writing as a Daily Victory

body of work, discipline, faith, writing

Dear Lord,

Thankyou for Your unconditional, unfailing love. I am Your child and You have great things for me to experience, learn and do in life. Wonder and grace. Love and light. You are with me and in me. I simply need to abide in You and follow when and where You lead. I am leading a guided life, Your Spirit guides me into all truth. You are helping me to own my calling and to be brave. I place my confidence in You. Nothing is impossible.

I am seeing the importance of being creatively brave and having faith to write. I must create a body of work. My process is to write every morning, in my journal and to share each weekday on my blog. There is something about writing with paper and pen that allows thoughts, feelings and ideas to flow out of me. Writing unlocks me. Writing first thing before the day really gets going means I can conquer internal resistance and procrastination, allowing my own creativity to flow without the distraction of other voices which will surely come at me during the day.

Words may trickle, or words may flow, but success is in the showing up and showing out every day. To make my contribution, no matter how small, or seemingly insignificant. Writing is a superpower I possess, given to me by God for the good of the world. To write is my ‘good part’ and it will not be taken from me because I have chosen it. It is my daily act of bravery which will mount up into a body of work in the future. Inspirational data which will keep on giving, building up God’s holy kingdom.

Thankyou Lord, for this great gift.

B

Questions to ponder: What is your superpower? How will you put it to use?

Defining Yourself to the People You Love

authenicity, brave, faith, writing

Dear Lord,

I love you so much! I am deeply grateful for my relationship with You. It is my salvation.  Christ is my Saviour. He gave His life for me. I am wanted. I am accepted in the Beloved. I am a part of Him. I am consumed by the love of Christ. I abide in love. I am immersed in it. I am rooted and grounded in Love.

Help me to be brave and strong. Do not let fear consume me or hold me back. You are my life. Liberate me to live in bountiful grace.

I am scared to share with my husband about my desire and calling to write. He knows I enjoy writing, but knows nothing of this calling to serve by writing. I fear his response. Will he understand? Will he value what I feel called to do? Will he support and encourage me in it? I know I need to reveal my truest self to him, as You have made us to be one. I pray he will understand. Prepare his heart to see who I am and what You have called me to do. I pray he will be my strongest support.

I know that D requires nothing more of me than to be his wife and to make a home, roles I love and hold dear. He also knows that I am called to ministry and have been struggling to know what to do once I finish university. I have only one semester left and then I am done! I believe the answers will be revealed through writing. His patience in waiting for You to reveal my next steps has encouraged and comforted me. There is no pressure to perform from him. Thankyou for giving me such a wonderful husband.

I resolve to share my heart with him and I trust You for the outcome. I pray You will show me the right time and right way to approach this conversation. I am confident all the aspects of my ministry will be revealed through writing. This is the way forward for me. I believe that all my major opportunities for service will come through this avenue.

Therefore I purpose to write each day and post at least every weekday as a matter of developing a good writing discipline. I ask you to increase my readership and allow the conversations to flow. I pray my writings will liberate and empower people.

B

Dear daughter,

Writing is your path, you way forward. You do not need to be anyone other than who you are, beloved. I delight in your willingness to step out fully into this ministry after dabbling for many years with writing. I am forging fresh faith, strength and confidence in you. I am strengthening you for service to the world.

God

Question: Is there someone who you are afraid to share your dream with for fear they may not value it as you do? How will you move past that fear?

In God I Trust

faith, honor, trust

Hello saints,

Blessings to you today!

God is faithful and worthy of our complete trust. In all things He is with us and guiding us through life. Do we have complete trust in Him? Or do we hold back in fear and unbelief?

Trusting God is a way of honoring Him. When He speaks to our heart we can believe Him. He does not lie. He does not fail to guide us in the right way to take. We are called to believe. To trust and obey. To step out in faith. But we will never step out beyond our level of faith and trust in Him. We honor Him and show our confidence in Him when we obey Him and own all our call.

Trust is to be expressed. In our prayer time we can proclaim our confidence and hope in Him. We can express that our hope is in Him alone. When we are going through difficult times we can share with our family and friends just how much we are relying on God and how our expectation is from Him. He has our answer.

Today’s word is a call to unwavering faith, knowing in whom you believe.

When all else is sinking sand, on Christ the solid rock I stand.

Be blessed,
Sister B

Nothing is Impossible With God!

Dear believers,

Many times when God plants a dream in your heart, it seems impossible to achieve. It is, in your own strength. Yet the bible tells us that with God ALL things are possible!

May I encourage you today to take one small step in the direction your dream? Just begin. Prayerfully take a step of faith. Each journey begins with a single step.

Image

Guess what? I was here! Shalom Jerusalem. Let me share with you how it happened:

Last year my pastors announced they were taking their sixth tour into Israel. Each time they go they are excited to take as many church members as possible along with them, to share in this wonderful, life-changing experience of being in the Holy Land. I had always been very enthusiastic about these trips, praying for those who were going and giving at various fundraising events. I had helped individuals financially in the past as they made their plans to go. But one night as I was sitting at home reading a book, the word came ” You’re going this time”.  The Voice within. Revealing His will. It was very clear. I was going to Israel!

But how?

So began a journey of faith into the impossible. That Sunday at church I told my pastors, “Guess what? I’m going this time!” They were overjoyed.

Principle number one:  Say yes to God.

When God spoke to my heart there was no mistaking it was Him. I just ‘knew’. So I said “Yes, Lord” The faith adventure began.

Principle number two: Take the first small step.

I opened an additional bank account and named it ‘Greece/Israel account’. I put a few dollars in it to begin with and continued to do so until I had enough for the deposit, three hundred dollars. I sent it in to the tour company with great joy and gratitude to God. Yet the trip cost thousands. How was I going to afford it? I wasn’t sure. But I kept putting a few dollars away here and there, each time praising and thanking God by faith and delighting in His will. The Lord led me week by week, economizing here and there, selling some things, a garage sale, tax refund, various juggling around money I had in other bank accounts etc., etc. Finally, after a number of months, by the grace of God, I had enough! I quickly sent the money through to the tour company, it seemed to good to be true! He had made a way! Praise the Lord!

How wonderful it was when they sent me a receipt which stated- amount due 0.00! I must admit, I kept looking at this receipt over and over! Paid in full! What had seemed so impossible was now a reality. I was really, really, going to walk in the steps of Jesus.

Principle number three: Walk boldly forward into everything you know to be God’s will.

Dear ones, sometimes when God reveals His will to us, our circumstances (and some of the people around us) tell us it cannot be done. Stepping out in faith often requires us to push through our inner fears and the constant negative voices of the unbelieving. These voices can shout very loudly. Let me encourage you today to walk on. Be bold and very courageous. Push through these limiting fears that immobilize and contain you. If God says you can, you CAN. Keep walking right on into the victory zone! The circumstances you see must change!

Principle number four: Give God all the glory and praise.

Well, dear ones, I have been back now for a few weeks and I have had the most amazing experiences of my life in Greece and Israel. I had the blessing of singing God’s praises at a number of sites in Jerusalem with the believers. This is a fulfillment of a long held dream.  We had so many wonderful experiences and we want to return as soon as we can! Impossible? No. Not with God!

Yours in Christ,

Bev

The Deepest Desire of Your Heart

call of God, desire, faith, follow

Hi there sweet believers,

May God’s blessing and favor be towards you today and always!

God has an amazing plan for every life, each one is born at a predetermined time and as we surrender our lives to God each day He has promised to direct our steps into all of His will. His will for your life is more wonderful than anything you could have ever planned for yourself. God knows what gifts, talents and abilities He has laid up within you and the place of service where you would be most effective in bringing Him glory and influencing others to build the Kingdom of God.

What is your hearts deepest desire? What would you love to do for Him with your short life? Does it seem as though God has given you a vision that is completely impossible to achieve? Nothing is impossible with God!

Think about it. Could it be that your deepest desire was in fact sown in your heart by the Most High God? God has promised to give us the desires of our heart when we trust Him and delight ourselves in Him!

Trust in the Lord and do good;

dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Take delight in the Lord,

and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37: 3-4

What a wonderful promise! What a wonderful Father we have!

Believers, always follow your hearts deepest call to follow Christ. Push through fear, don’t listen to the naysayers, forge ahead and begin to watch and pray as to how God will bring it to pass! Start with small acts of faith and believe God for the increase. Life is an adventure when you are being led by His Spirit, which is the glorious privilege of all those who are born of God.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14

Dear holy ones,

Sometimes it is hard to wait on the timing of God. It’s true, but today I want to remind you that His timing is perfect. It is hard to wait once God has clearly revealed His will to you and shown you what He is going to do, but then everything you see with your eyes appears otherwise.

Wait in simple trust that you are being tested and perfected, and believe that you are in a season of being shaped and molded so that you can shine even brighter in this world, magnifying your Saviour.

Image

What are the lessons of this current season you are in? What are you learning? And will you wait patiently for the Lord to fulfill the promises He made to you in the secret place?

The people who hope in God will not be disappointed. Trust and keep a praise on your lips!

Your breakthrough will come, right on time.

Love Sister B

faith, spiritual gifts, trust

Hello highly gifted ones,

Do you know God has given you a measure of faith? Yes, He has!

Without faith it is impossible to please God, BUT with God ALL things are possible! God has  give to each person  gifts, by the working of His marvelous grace, and He wants us to use them according to our faith.

Image

These are the 7 motivation gifts (Rom 12: 3-8):

  • Prophecy
  • Ministering
  • Teaching
  • Exhortation
  • Giving
  • Leadership
  • Mercy

Yes, you have one of these, maybe even more! So use them, because God gave them to you for the edification of the Church. Minister the gifts one to another with the power God supplies.

Maybe you’re discouraged today. Trust God in all things. He is at work, sometimes we cannot see what He is doing but we can express our trust in Him. Express your trust verbally. Say, “Lord, I can’t see what you are doing right now but I trust everything will work out for my good and Your glory.” Wait on Him and be expectant. Those who hope in the Lord will not be disappointed. Breakthroughs come suddenly but usually after a time of patient waiting.

Develop your gift and become mature in the use of it, and God will make you an abundant blessing to your brothers and sisters. You will be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord! Enjoy yourself and delight in the Lord!

So, go be a blessing,

Love Sister B

faith, Jesus, shine, Spiritual gift

Hello blessed ones,

Enjoy your day and all God has laid out for you. He has designed you to shine like a jewel!

Image

You have been given amazing spiritual gifts by the grace of God. So use them, according to your faith. You are not just talented but divinely empowered, filled with the Spirit. God wants to speak through you today to address the needs of others. Start at home with the people you love dearest and branch out from there. Welcome interruptions. Who you bump into today is no accident! Bless the person in front of you. Could it be that God would like to speak through you to bring encouragement or comfort to a downcast believer? Who knows what a difference just a simple word can make , it could be the difference between a weary saint giving up or persevering in faith. May all God’s children find their strength in Him!

Romans 12: 6-8

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering:or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation:he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Go shine,

Sister B

faith, spiritual gifts

Hello dear believers,

Are you ready to go today? Are you up for the challenge of serving Him today? Love God and love others. This fulfills all the requirements of the Law.

Do not be conformed to the world God or desire anything in the world. It holds nothing of eternal value for you. No, instead let the Spirit of God reveal the wonderful truth of Gods word to you and watch a transformation occur. I love God with all my heart and I purpose to please Him as much as I can!

Grace is given to us and a measure of faith so step out and use the amazing and remarkable gifts He has give you. Step out according to your faith. Trust God in these areas and watch for opportunities to use your gift. I praise the Lord for His glorious gifts with which He has blessed My life and I pray I will increase more and more. I love Him. This is true.

Don’t underestimate the value of any gift as we all differ in abilities but when we work together and every part does his share we shine forth as the Glorious Bride.

I am sure many people are scared to step out in their gift and become discouraged and defeated in their faith. Discouragement is a major tool the enemy of our souls uses to cause us to be inactive and stifled in our walk with God. Many times he will challenge your right to speak or act in the capacity with God has assigned for you. But challenge these debilitating thoughts and ideas and see if they accord with scripture. You are perfectly designed and equipped do all God’s will for your life. This is the real truth. Praise the Lord right on into breakthrough.

Don’t hide your light under a bushel. Your gift is for others that they may come to know the Saviour King. Jesus.

Love,

Sister B
